Blow Molding Operator Training

COURSE OVERVIEW

This three-day course provides process and troubleshooting techniques for processing bottles. This course can be held at PTI, PTI-E or at a customer location. This class includes classroom time and time at a blow molding machine. The class room portion is 10-12 hours followed by time at the blow molding machine.

One of the goals is to gain an understanding of the preform to bottle and machine relationships that affect the quality of bottles. A focus is given to the machine operation, settings and process parameters for controlling and maintaining a stable process. A review of cause and effect of defects will also be part of this class.

Injection Molding Operator Training

DESIGNED FOR

– Machine Operators, Technicians, Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and others involved with PET
Preform Manufacturing.

COURSE OVERVIEW

This two-day course includes a summary of the technology of injection molding PET preforms. This
course can be held at PTI, PTI-E or at a customer location. This curriculum includes theoretical
instruction presented in the classroom as well as practical activities occurring at an injection molding
machine. The classroom portion of the training is 6 – 8 hours followed by an equal or greater amount
of time on the molding floor.

The goal of the training is to provide students with an understanding of material properties, material
handling, tooling, and injection molding practices necessary for PET preform molding.  The
emphasis of the hands-on portion of the training is to allow students to recognize and understand the
attributes of a stable and robust injection molding process.This is accomplished by allowing
students to build a process and experience cause and effect relationships between the major
machine settings and preform quality.  Students with a desire to learn will come out of the class with
greater knowledge and understanding that leads to improved communication and performance.
