
The Opportunity
The customer has a well-staffed, well-equipped lab and they get several requests per week from two of the largest global food and beverage clients for qualification testing. The volume of testing that they receive is very uneven, so scheduling and planning is a challenge.
The Innovation
By leaning to PTI as an additional source of lab testing, they were able to meet peak demands by performing their excess testing and turning it around within days rather than weeks.


The Outcome
Without PTI’s support, the customer would need to either staff for the spikes in testing demand or risk delaying implementation of production by several weeks. By offsetting some of the testing services to the PTI lab, the customer is able to save the excess staffing costs of $75k per year per technician and all related support costs, including costs to expand their lab to allow a larger staff to work effectively.
