Continuing a legacy of expertise while growing into the future

PTI is entering a new chapter in its longstanding European legacy with the relocation of its headquarters from Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, to Luxembourg — a transition that reflects both the company’s history and its future direction.

Moves like this offer an opportunity to recognize milestones, honor longstanding technical expertise and reaffirm a commitment to the partnerships that have shaped the organization. For PTI in Europe, the Luxembourg relocation builds on more than two decades of scientific expertise and industry relationships developed in Switzerland.

The new Luxembourg facility provides an environment designed to support expanded technical capabilities, customer collaboration and training initiatives. Its central European location, strong logistics access and supportive international business environment further enhance PTI’s ability to serve partners efficiently across the region.

“Luxembourg offers several advantages that align with our commercial priorities, including closer proximity to many of our key European customers, improved access to major logistics corridors, and a highly supportive business environment for international companies,” says Raymond Semaan, Business Development Manager, PTI Luxembourg.

“The country’s multilingual talent pool and strong regulatory framework further enhance our ability to innovate and serve partners efficiently,” Semaan adds.

But while the setting has changed, the core of PTI’s work remains consistent — grounded in scientific rigor, materials expertise and long-standing industry partnerships.

Honoring the Swiss Foundation

PTI’s European journey began in 1998 in Lausanne, Switzerland, where it was established to expand package and materials development services for European customers. In 2000, operations moved to Yverdon-les-Bains to meet the growing need for advanced testing and analytical laboratory capabilities.

For more than two decades, Yverdon-les-Bains served as the foundation of PTI’s European work and relationships. A dedicated group of engineers, scientists and packaging specialists helped establish and grow the organization’s technical capabilities in materials science, package performance and analytical testing.

Their contributions remain an important part of PTI’s history and identity.

“PTI’s history reflects the work of highly skilled professionals who helped establish our technical capabilities and long-standing industry partnerships,” says Morris De Marchi, COO and GM. “That foundation continues to guide how we operate and serve our customers today.”

PTI expresses sincere appreciation to the individuals who helped establish and grow its European presence over the years, recognizing the expertise and commitment that shaped what the organization is today.

A Setting Designed for How PTI Works Today

The Luxembourg facility supports how PTI engages with customers, allowing for enhanced collaboration, expanded training opportunities and technical spaces designed to advance analytical and performance testing.

Today, PTI in Europe is recognized as an EPBP and RecyClass preferred laboratory — designations that reflect the technical rigor, trust and consistency that have long defined its operations.

Importantly, the relocation represents continuity. While the address has changed, PTI’s mission has not. The organization remains committed to delivering the same scientific integrity, analytical excellence and customer partnership that European clients have relied on for decades.

Transitions of this scale carry both history and opportunity. This relocation represents not a departure from PTI’s identity, but a continuation of it — carrying forward established standards, values and technical expertise into a new environment designed to support the future of packaging innovation.

“PTI looks forward to continuing its partnerships across Europe and to supporting customers from its new home in Luxembourg,” De Marchi says.
